Getting lost in the Wild

Hi,

I am about to share with you all a wonderful and thrilling experience at Pondichery last year.

We took a rental bike from one of the shops and went to Auroville with just a litre of petrol in the tank. Auroville is in the outskirts of Pondy approximately 22 Kms away from the city. It was a Sunday afternoon and we started off in our rented Pulsar. The road was too bumpy which made us tired and so we started after a peaceful long rest. While going back, we saw a short cut to Pondychery, but that road was used by none. We had little petrol in the bike and hece wanted to take the shortest possible route and were tempted to go in that way. After 10 minutes of ride we were surrounded by farmlands and when we went further we were surrounded by dense forests with no human sounds at all. That was the moment we started realising that we made amistake and there was no turning around after this because of fuel. We kept on going through the forest with low brances of trees scratching all over our faces and sounds of wild dogs and wolves making the scene all the more scary. I was just praying that we see something which was human and suddenly we came across a band of vagabonds who told that the city was just 2 Kms further and we proceeded in that direction and some how reached the city with relief. We had a good hearty laugh when we were back at the hotel and met our gang again.

Planned never to use such unused roads again !!!
